The long awaited Minecraft Pocket Edition version 0.10.0 is, as of this morning, available at all app stores!
MCPE 0.10 should be out on all stores now 🙂

Minecraft Pocket Edition verison 0.10.0 is coming soon. How soon? This week it would seem! It takes Google Play and the iTunes Store time to approve submissions, but according to Johan Bernhardsson it will be in their hands as early as tomorrow. Here’s a tweet he sent out just a few minutes ago.
0.10.0 is done, we are just wating for a couple of things but I’ll submit tomorrow morning. 🙂

The Minecraft PE 0.10.0 beta has been released! Seems like there’s a lot of bugs, but that’s what beta builds are for!
That’s it, we uploaded the first beta for MCPE 0.10! As usual, give Google Play a couple of hours to update.

If you download it, you might want this Mesa/Exposed Mineshaft seed from Tommaso to try, too: BUTCH
Oh before I go home, “BUTCH” is a neat seed to see the new mesa mineshafts! /spoiler — Tommaso Checchi (@_tomcc) October 17, 2014
Are we going to have MCPE 0.10.0 seeds during the beta period? Yes, yes we are. We couldn’t wait and bought a Kindle Fire HDX 7… And… in case hacking it to get it to play nice with the Google Play store goes wrong, we also picked up a Nexus 10. One way or another, we’ll be serving up some 0.10.0 seeds soon!
Want to know what’s new or improved? Here’s the FINAL changelog from Mojang:
The Minecraft Pocket Edition 0.10.0 beta release is right around the corner. Tomasso Checchi has been keeping his Twitter followers up-to-date. They’ve been close for days now, but a code drop seems like it’s pretty close. One of the last glitches they were working on chasing out? The skydiving starts that happen on some seeds when you start the game.
Here’s a few recent tweets (from older to newer):
We really want to release betas when we think there are no bugs, it has no use to us to get spammed with bugs we already know 😛
— Tommaso Checchi (@_tomcc) September 26, 2014
The beta group release is coming, but we’re trying to squash the “respawning in the air in a random place” bug before that.
— Tommaso Checchi (@_tomcc) September 29, 2014
Hey people, we’re working on 0.10 and today it was a good bugfixing day… the beta will come as soon as possible, pressure won’t help us!
— Tommaso Checchi (@_tomcc) September 30, 2014
Regardless how anxious you are to see the beta, you have to admit the Mojang devs are really cool about keeping all their fans in the loop!
Everyone was waiting to hear if the rumors were true, or if they were, well, just rumors. This morning the answer came from both Mojang and Microsoft: The deal is real.
One standout part of the announcement is that Mojang’s founders, Notch, Carl and Jacob are leaving Mojang. Notch hasn’t made a statement yet, but will likely provide his perspective soon per his Twitter feed.
I’ll probably share my personal thoughts soon. https://t.co/br4gHyMYAD

Mojang’s blog post on the acquisition is probably the best source of information and includes the mention of the founders’ intentions to leave.
